Classifying Documents

Quillix Capture provides a unique user interface for performing high-speed batch page separation and grouping into documents.  The Classify Panel in Quillix Capture provides an alternative to "in-scanner" patch code or bar code page separation that requires manual page collation patch page insertion before scanning.  Using the Classify Panel in Quillix Capture, batch pages can be scanned in any order and without the need for manual collation and insertion of patch pages or bar code pages.

Classification Methods

An operator using the Classify Panel in Quillix Capture can use the Classify Toolbar and Thumbnail Viewer to select pages and quickly separate a batch using one or more of the three Classification methods described below.

1. Create Document from Separator Pages

This method of classification works by identifying the "first page" of each document in the batch, just like using a patch code or bar code separator sheet. The operator selects all the "first pages" in the batch, and by clicking the "Create Documents from Separator Pages" button, the entire batch is transformed into documents.

2. Create Document from Selected Pages

This method of classification allows an operator to create documents one-at-a-time by clicking the pages that belong together as a single document and then clicking the "Create Document from Selected Pages" button.

3. Create Single Page Documents from Selected Pages

This method of classification creates a one-page document for every selected page.
