Optional OPEX Field Mapping
As the OPEX scanning device creates batches it collects information about the scan job, the operator, and so on. It may also collect information at scan time using its own recognition capabilities. You can collect this information into Quillix document index fields by mapping a specific Quillix document index field to an OPEX field.
Which OPEX field you map the Quillix field to depends on the information you intend to collect. By default, all Quillix document index fields are not mapped to any of the known OPEX data fields. These are listed below.
OPEX Field Names:
- Scan Date
- Job Name
- Scan Operator
- Page Name
- Barcode
- Mark Detect
- OCR
Any Quillix document field that is already mapped to an OPEX field is displayed in the dialog box by its document type.
Adding an Index Field Mapping
- If you are not already there, launch the configuration dialog box for an OPEX OXI Import input source. Refer to Configuring OPEX OXI Import to learn how to access the dialog box.
- Under Document Mapping, select the Document Type that contains the Quillix document index field you want to map to an OPEX field.
- Click Edit to start a new mapping.
- Click the Plus sign (+) to add the mapping to the selected document type.
- Click in the cell under Quillix Field with the label, "None," and choose the document index field you want to receive the OPEX data value.
- Click in the adjoining cell under OPEX Field with the label, "None," and choose the known OPEX field from which the data value will originate.
- If you choose the Barcode, Mark Detect or OCR OPEX field, you must also specify under Index which OPEX field to use if there are multiple OPEX fields of that type available. You must know how the OPEX recognition settings are configured to set this value properly. The default value "1" is correct if there is only one OPEX field of this type.
- Click Accept to save the mapping configuration. Click Reject to not save the mapping.
- Repeat steps 2 through 8 to map additional Quillix document index fields to OPEX fields.
Any changes you make to the input source will not take effect until all the Quillix Servers in the server group are stopped and restarted.
