Setting User and Group Permissions

User and Group permissions are managed from the Users Panel in the Quillix Process Manager Application.

Permissions Overview

Account Permissions are settings that grant various system rights to Quillix Users.

Administrator Right
In general, a Quillix user may only grant a permission that he or she has. For example, a user logged in to the Quillix Process Manager that does not have the
Index Web Client Right may not grant that right.  The exception is when a user has the Administrator Right.  The Administrator Right grants all permissions to the specified user.

Permissions Categories
Quillix Account Permissions are grouped together into several categories.  The permissions for each category are located on the Users Panel in the Quillix Process Manager.

Client Permissions

The Quillix Client Permissions control access to the various tabs and features in the Quillix Web Client.  To set Quillix Client Permissions:

  1. Select the desired User or Group from the list in the Users Panel.
  2. Check the appropriate permissions to grant for the selected user or group.
  3. Click the save icon on the toolbar.

Description

Capture

Grants access to the Capture Panel and its capabilities including scanning and importing batches, viewing batches and performing QC operations.

Classify

Grants access to the Classify Panel and its capabilities including manual document classification, thumbnail document creation and QC operations

Index

Grants access to the Index Panel and its capabilities including document creation, editing and deletion, document indexing and viewing.

Scan

Grants access to scanning capabilities.

Delete Cases

Grants access to delete cases and other items in the Quillix Web Client.

Redact

Grants access to the Redact Panel and its capabilities.

Exempt from Queue Filtering

Exempts the user from queue filtering for queues for which a queue filter has been set.

Process Manager Permissions

Process Manager Permissions grant rights to various administrative functions within the Quillix Process Manager.  To set Quillix Process Manager Permissions:

  1. Select the desired User or Group from the list in the Users Panel.
  2. Check the appropriate permissions to grant for the selected user or group.
  3. Click the save icon on the toolbar.

If a right is disabled in the Process Manager Rights section, it means that the currently logged in user account does not have rights for that permission. If the Users node is not visible in the console tree, it means the currently logged in user does not have permission to edit user accounts or permissions.

Description

Administrator

The Administrator right grants all permissions to the selected user.  As an Administrator, the user may change any settings or permissions for any other user.

Reports

Grants access to the Reports Panel and its capabilities in the Process Manager.

Server Groups

Grants access to the Server Groups Panel and its capabilities in the Process Manager. This permission permits the user to create and delete Server Groups, assign and un-assign servers to groups, and create and configure input sources and profiles.

Batch Profiles

Grants access to the Batch Profiles Panel and its capabilities in the Process Manager. This permissions allows the user to create, edit and delete Batch Profiles and Fields, and to design Batch Profile process maps.

Document Types

Grants access to the Document Types Panel and its capabilities in the Process Manager. This permissions allows the user to create, edit and delete Document Types and Fields, and to design Document Type process maps.

Users

Grants access to the Users Panel and its capabilities in the Process Manager.  This permission allows the user to create, edit and delete User Accounts in Quillix.

QSX Modules

Grants access to the QSX Modules Panel and its capabilities in the Process Manager. This permission allows the user to register and un-register QSX modules and set their thread counts.

Licenses

Grants access to the Licenses Panel and its capabilities in the Process Manager. This permission allows the user to import a new license file, monitor license usage and revoke web client licenses.

Case Manager

Grants access to the Case Management Panel and its capabilities in the Process Manager.

General Settings

Grants access to the General Settings Panel and its capabilities in the Process Manager.
